The dawn of the dead remake is superb imo.
28 days later is probably my favourite zombie film.
Freddy V Jason is surprisingly entertaining as is Dog Soldiers - seen this in poundland this morning on VHS for £1!

One of my fav special effects movies for mutants is Nightbreed but I think its because I liked the booked and it helped me to visualise the characters.

A really underrated film imo, even though the dialogue is a bit dodgy in places.

As to sci fi horror, Pitch Black is good(am I the only person who thinks The Chronicles of Riddick is the dogs doo dads?).

Couldn't agree more! Got it from Virgin today for £4.99. Absolutely brilliant film I though (yes I have seen the original, the zombies suck!). Also 28 days later and one of my favourites, Killer Clowns From Outer Space!
