Something similar to minisforum v3 so I can check sizing etc...

I'm tempted by the minisforum v3 as a steam deck/ipad pro replacement that will also allow me to perform some other functions (3d design, 3d printing so I don't need to remote into a VM i'm currently using).

Is there anything on the shelf I can pick up which is similar in size? It's a 14 inch device, just under 1kg and 9.8mm thick... It will be quite a change from my 11" ipad for media consumption so I want to make sure it will physically work for me before i buy.

Your alternate choices are pretty limited.
Surface Pro 9 or wait for the 10 which may or may not meet your requirements and will be SUBSTANTIALLY more expensive
Asus ROG Z13, better iGPU, more spendy, limited to 16GB RAM. There is the limited edition, fashion victim ACRONM that is no longer sold.

The thing is, it is NOT an ipad replacement, it is a fully fledged, fully operational, pretty beefy laptop in tablet format. I might add considering it comes with keyboard, stand and stylus, it may, depending on geography still come in cheaper than an ipad, Magic Keyboard and Pencil....
