But why would you accept such a drastic downgrade? I get you're at the shrug your shoulders stage, but they should be giving you at least an equivalent card. Or am I reading this all wrong?

Yeah think you're reading it wrong
He took it to a shop (local shop not ocuk) as thought warranty had expired
They tested it and gpu was faulty
Presumably they sold him a 6600 which meant he
Could use the pc and was adequate as no longer games

Then we got to discussing the original card from ocuk
Might actually have a 3 year warranty not 2
After contacting ocuk they confirmed 3 year warranty and tested it
Found it faulty while under warranty
As they didn't have a 6800 to replace it they would either offer
A different card of equivalent or greater spec
Or a refund which is what he got
So basically used the card for 2 years for free
And now bought a cheaper card more suited to his needs

That's how I read it anyway lol
But it's about 2--30am and had a few sleeping pills
So I may be wrong too

At this point even the OP might not be sure what's going on. I read it as he had a 6800 and they downgraded him to a 6600. Hey what do I know, I'm half peed most of the time.

Exactly this.
Given it was 2-30am
And had a good dose of zolpidem
That doesn't look any worse than my usual
Weird typing style lol
And actually makes sense too

@ooStevo
Actually saw the Dr yesterday
After 8 years of the sleeping pills (not meant to be used for more
Than a month)
They've decided to half the strength of them
But double the amitriptyline dosage
To help with the nerve pain and being able to sleep
Thanks for being concerned mate it's appreciated

Is amitriptyline not an anti depressant? I'm sure my ex GF was taking those and it sure as hell wasn't for nerve pain. Or maybe it was once I learned her body count lol. Also it's funny you said zolpidem as they were the exact pills I was talking about.

Amitriptyline is indeed an anti depressant as I thought. If it's the same one I'm thinking of,they prescribed it to me years ago,and all's it did was make me sleep 12 hours a day. I literally couldn't get out of my bed. It also makes some people have an insatiable appetite, which results in lots of weight gain. I seen it happen to my uncle and my sisters husband,it nearly drove him crazy until I gave him the facts. Stay safe bro.
