BF2142 is the only version that would draw me back in tbh.

Pretty much, i've bought every battlefield going so far (Even BF2142 :() so I don't see why this would be any different. I'm pretty sure that's not a real image but we don't have long now to go till we find out about new BF5.
 
Pay £55 for the game, install it and find out that all the weapons are locked behind loot crates. Grudgingly buy a loot crate, RNG faerie grants you a basic weapon loadout. Go to play again, find out that you need to purchase day one DLC to unlock a random map.

as much as I'm not a fan of EA the SWBF 2 fiasco really put the willies up EA and I suspect that any loot boxes will be for cosmetics only, not even the unlock packs in BF3 and 4.

They removed all non cosmetic items from the BF2 lootbox system and now they can also be bought using earnable in game currency. They really got burned by the backlash and I think they already announced the lootbox EA in Anthem will be cosmetic only.
 
If it's like mohaa then cool if its just bf with ww2 skin then nope, I'd want 20hr sp campaign, MP with no leveling up just pick a class and fight with a set amount of weapons on small maps with teams of 12 per side or so.

A 20 hour campaign? Seriously? No BF or COD campaign has ever lasted that long. Many don't even play them. And classless MP? Also won't happen. If you want 12 per side go play Cod. One of the major selling points of Battlefield games has been the 64 player, massive map online multiplayer. If they drop that then they're idiotic beyond belief.

I think you want a new MOH game not a new BF one, BF have never been this game.

I've played over a 100 hours of BF1 and really enjoyed my time with it, however the base game didn't have enough maps. I got bored for a few months till I manged to pick up the season pass for under £10. With the season pass the multiplayer is well rounded with a good variation of maps, but you shouldn't have to wait a year for that to happen.
 
Still can't get the campaign in bf1 working without motion-sickness (don't get it in any other game). It's starting to get like FIFA. Little to no interst in another WW2 game anyway.
 
I haven't purchased a Battlefield game since 4 and i did test out Battlefield 1 but i just wasn't feeling it.

I also don't like the surge of Battle Royale games and rumours of EA possibly wanting to implement it into Battlefield, i just don't like Battle Royale and for me it has no place in a Battlefield game.
