So i know its a size guide that photo but what is the sun sign's for ...is it how much exposure to the sun light radiation each card can take ....the founders is crap so we know no sun for that the rest can take mild amount radiation but the evga can take full on radiation Gobi dessert sun

No it is the fan size, not how much sun radiation they can take.

Its a pain in the ass to put in the thumbscrews for cards that are as tall as that as well, in my 750d with my strix there's a lot of fumbling around because of limited room due to the cards bulk.
Na that's a beast. The EVGA's looks dated and cheap. Never thought I would say that about an EVGA card. Maybe different pics tomorrow will make them look a lil better, but from those pics they look rubbish to me.
The ASUS looks big powerful and well cooled. Will very likely pick one up tomorrow if any left.
So did the 980 ti strix, but the gimmick behind that card was supposedly it sacrificed thermals for lower fan noise. It generally loads at around 78-80c on stock boost clocks.

In fact gigabyte have done fine job with three fan design IMO.
Need better photos to truly judge them. On these pics EVGA's is most ugly. ASUS and Gigabyte look ok, so does the Zotac AMP.
