Ooo they did. But back then it seemed you could slap two GPUs onto one card and get stellar results, so they were well worth cooling. Especially with 120+mm fans

I keep an R9 285 around as a backup, since I don't have an iGPU. I had to use it for a few weeks recently actually, after an issue with an upgrade left me without a card. It reminded me that there's still a lot of great games you can play even on a card like that.

My backup card is soon to be a MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X, has served my very well since 2016.

It's ok. That price will go down as time goes on.
TBH I generally hate selling stuff because I just can't cope dealing with annoying buyers which to me is pretty much anyone who wants to buy something.

I guarantee you a seamless transaction, and will ping you over a couple of hundred quid whenever you want.

As for backups, a GTX 260, GTX8600(?) 8800GTS (somewhere) and I have two 1080ti's in SLI so one is effectively a backup already when it's not running in SLI
