What is a good cost worth upgrade from a rx580

As the title says as I've only really been using high end cards the only cards I've bought already 2080ti >3090 >4090

So what's a worth while upgrade as I love dlss can and really compete is it even a thing on low end ?

Sorry if I sound ignorant trying to upgrade a freinds son's pre built

Depends on budget anduse case, if low at used 1080ti would not be a bad upgrade. Higher budget and I'd probably be look ling at 3070 upwards

I went from a 580 to a 3060ti back when it was released and to this day it has been great. Plays anything in 1440p at 144hz

Anything from a 6600 and up is a decent upgrade for 1080p, but if you want DLSS, I'd look at a 3060 12GB, as close to £250 as possible.

That would probably be the max of his budget maybe 200 I'll have to see what pops up at lease I have some models to look for

Unfortunately nvidia don't have anything decent at 200, the 3050 8gb is a significant chunk behind the 6600.

A few other used options here but certainly RX6600 would be lowest new card to aim for, with RTX 3060 being ideal for DLSS

Yeah the 50 series cards have never been worth the pcb they are printed on, maybe if you want extra display outputs. But I digress lol.
