Hi All,

Happy Easter! so 3 months ago i built a AM4 system for £700 with a 5700x, everything was new except the graphic card, i had an old MSI 1070 which i was given from work as they were getting rid of them. i opted for Air cooling and went with the Thermalright AXP90 X47 and swapped out the fan for a noctua. everything works fine. initially i intended this to be a tide me over home TV PC being in a SFF Meshlicious. But i am thinking now maybe i'll just stick with it as my main rig for a couple of years with a few upgardes at the end of this year.

i am not looking to replace the 5700x but am thinking of :

swapping out the Thermalright AXP90 X47 for a 240 Arctic freezer 3 ( the cooler cools fine but it is noisy even when launching chrome ) the AIO does fit but its tight
Replacing the graphic card with a 40 series ideally a 50 series and getting a PCI 4.0 riser cable if i need more bandwidth with the 50 series cards (mobo Gigabyte AMD B550 AORUS B550I PRO AX WiFi) still on the fence whether to wait or just but a 4080 S
the 1070 is a blower card and its a jet engine when gaming and doing Unreal work. ( beggars can't be choosers)

i had also considered staying air cooling and looked at getting a cooler that would cool better, be less noisy and fit the Meshlicious with my low profile ram. the Jiushark JF13K Diamond looked to be one to consider but is almost the same price as the AIO.

Anyway full specs below, i'd love to hear your thoughts. looking for a more quieter experience at fuller load if i can get it overall

From what I can see online, you'd need to be careful with a 4080 Super, because of the clearance. I'd consider a 4070 Ti Super instead, since you can get cards like Gigabyte's Eagle (261mm) and MSI's Ventus 2X (242mm).

AFAIK The Gigabyte windforce 4080 super is 330mm and the case in 3 slot mode supports 332mm so should just fit, i have also 3d printed a GPU extender bracket for larger GPUs in the Mesh. The Gigabyte should fit the 4080 S Windforce card on paper just. you are correct though the gaming OC version is longer so that one is out. wasn't going to buy that one though.
