I'm looking to upgrade my 1660 super for 1080p gaming.

The 2 options are:
6650xt @ €250
7600 @ €280

I've looked at a few benchmarks and they seem to be very similar, but thought I'd ask you lot anyway?

Are there any other options (not used) for similar prices?

Thanks!

Neither tbh, i would consider a 3060ti used instead at that price point.

I'm sure they can be had for a similar price.

Put an offer in for this and see if they accept:

The market for new gpu's at that price is terrible imo.

I have an RTX3060TI myself and wouldn't touch a secondhand one at a bargepole at £300. Neither is an RX7600 or RX6650XT worth that price either.

8GB VRAM dGPUs are not really worth spending much more than £200ish - I would look at an RX6600 for under £200. If not save up some more money and get something better. For between £300 to £360,you can get the RX6750XT 12GB, RX7700XT 12GB or RX6800 16GB.

Yeah that probably makes more sense, I just don't want to spend over 300 on a gpu. I've always gone for the best bang-for-buck as I'm not a huge gamer.

I'll take a look at the others you suggested.

What is your CPU and PSU? AMD cards seem to do better on lower end CPUs in DX12 and Nvidia historically in DX11. 300 Euro is around £260ish here - in the UK you could get a brand new RX6750XT a few weeks ago for £40 more. I would have a look and see if there is a new deal on an RX6700XT/RX6750XT. The RX6600 is under £200/230 Euro in the UK - I personally wouldn't pay much over that for any 8GB dGPU now especially if it is being used for the next 4 to 5 years.

WRT,to secondhand make sure you get a warranty on it,many people mined on their cards so they can have worn out fans too. But even then you can get good deals on secondhand RX6700XT/RX6750XT and RX6600 cards. Because the AMD cards are cheaper upfront, their secondhand prices tend to be better too AFAIK.

CPU is i7 6700k @ 4ghz so not bad but quite old now, I can't remember what PSU I have (I'm on my laptop atm), I remember getting a decent one but that was around 8 years ago.

I'm not sure what to do now...

What price is the 6800? They're going for pretty good prices right now in the UK and I know you don't want to spend much, but it is a great upgrade.

Everything between the 6600 and 6800 is looking very dated and not great value anymore, especially since the 6700 XT is disappearing. The 7900 GRE is probably the best card for right now.

6800 is €400

At the moment - Helldivers 2, Battlefield 2042, Hunt: Showdown, Vermintide 2, Isonzo, Chivalry 2, DayZ, Hell Let Loose, Total War Warhammer 2.

I'll have at used cards, or wait a bit longer I think.

You will be also CPU limited in some of those games too. In DX12 games,AMD dGPUs also seem to do relatively better than Nvidia ones with a lower end CPU on average, but conversely the same in DX11 with Nvidia cards. I still stick my recommendation of not spending over £200/230 Euro on an 8GB card if keeping it for a few years.

I would try and look for a secondhand RX6700XT/RX6750XT,but as I mentioned earlier lots of cards have been mined on. You need to check the condition of the fans, etc and make sure you have a good warranty.

op doesn't want to spend over £300, big jumps to £500 plus

300 Euro which is around £250~£260.
