I guess it depends on your budget but a quick search reveals this thread which offers a few options.

Cheers budget is fairly high £20-30 as it's for an important occasion.

Bolivar Coronas Gigantes Full flavour 47ring gauge - this one sounds quite good, as I'd like it to last a while.

Would i need to buy somthing to cut the end off or could they do it for me/could i bite it :o

I r noob at cigars.

Would i just work in and ask for that ?

*I get anxius in new situations and tend to mutter so any forward advice is apreceated :p

I know next to nothing about cigars but from reading that thread a Bolivar probably isn't the best option if you aren't used to smoking them. You can probably bite the end off but I don't think it is usually recommended, a proper cigar cutter would be less likely to damage the end but it is up to you.

Well I do smoke quite a bit, and do enjoy the nicotine rush (hence the choice :p) Wouldn't really want to buy a cutter as it's probbably only going to be used this once.

Fair enough, enjoy it but please reassure me that the important occasion isn't you about to become a father? Please? :p

Oh god no.

I think I should have a vasectomy for the good of mankind tbh :p

It's just today I learnt a lesson I’ve been needing for a long time (came at quite a cost though).

Most people might not think of it as a thing to celebrate, but for me it is, I think things are going to get better for me from now on, and I fancy celebrating :)

You can usually get a cheap plastic cutter for a few quid definately worth getting if your looking at spending that much on a cigar

Ahh ok, Reckon they would cut it for me if i asked?

I have a bit of dutch curage at the moment so should be able to without sounding like I've just has a stroke :p

They'll cut it for you I'm pretty sure but I'd always assumed that you should only cut the end off just shortly before smoking the cigar. This isn't based on anything more than guesswork though.

//edit and I hope the realisation is worth it, whatever it is. :)

Well I'll be smoking it very shortly after buying it :)

Thanks for the hlep guys, think I'll play about on intertent for a few more mins then head off :)

And I definatly think it was worth it.

Don't smoke a Bolivar if you are not a regular cigar smoker. Even if you are a regular cigarette smoker, the Bolivar will probably make you sick or at the very least it will be unenjoyable.

If you want fuller flavour but still manageable for a n00b, have a look at Cohiba, Montecristo, Partagas and Hoyo de Monterey. Which cigar depends on the ring gauge preferred, the length of the smoke preferred and of course, price.

I'm currently working my way through a box of Cohiba Esplendidos which are sublime but they're a very long smoke at 60-90 minutes.

Ahh was hoping you'd be around :D

whatgauge are these Cohiba Esplendidos, think they will stock them at the places mentioned?

Can you tell me what i should specifically ask for?

Err scuzi are they just called Cohiba Esplendidos or is there a sdpecific gauge/number ect?

1) write it down and show them, give it a shot at saying it at the same time if you want, but no one will object to that

Ok I'll do that, sure you don;t fancy a drink ;p
