Whatever happened to the leaning high speed trains we were going to get in the 80s?
We got them. The APT was brought into service after a long and difficult development, didn't set the world alight, was withdrawn again, then reintroduced, and then removed again.
Matters were complicated by the fact that the more conventional HST had appeared by then, and the plug was pulled on APT.
