crysis vista dx10/9

my crysis rig is going to get built soonish. im thinking of getting a gtx, however i have a question. ive got a feeling that crysis on a gtx running in dx10 is going to be well not so fast, lets say im playing crysis on vista ultimate 64 in dx10 and it lags, how would i be able to play crysis in vista 64 in dx9 mode? because i know it would be much faster in dx9. theres not two version of crysis coming out is there??? 1 dx10 the other 9??. is there some type of switch in vista that allows you to play dx9 or something?

noob question probably but i seriously dnt know the answer

The game isn't out yet, no one can tell you for sure, but if I had to fenture a guess - a GTX will run it just fine.

We know something about crysis

It will look good
It's gonna run 60fps +
It will run 60fps+
it will 60fps + at ultra high
If it dont run at 60fps+, there will be serious hell on.

Probably there will be an option in the graphics options, or a launcher that lets you set the renderer before the game launches?

not true the launch for the 8800gtx was running crysis maxxed out which was explained by the CEO the video has been in you tube for a long time

Never known so much fear and anticipation about a single game. Cripes!

Anyway, you'd expect a -dx9 cmd line option from any decent game nowadays surely?

That was months ago. God knows how it runs now if they've added extra features!

To the OP - don't spend all your cash on the strength of one game that isn't released yet, it might be overhyped! If the game is as good as it's marketing campaign, it should really be something

Besides, I suspect goty is already on the shelves.
