USB B to B lead

know it might be wrong section but not sure where to put this

my step dad has been looking about to get one but he cant find nothing and i couldnt see much either just wondering if any one has a web site which will have usb B to B leads could you link it for me cheers

B to B? why do you need that? Don't think it would work personally, what's it for?

Any where that sells a USB lead will probably be a competitor for OCUK so no one will be able to answer legally if you know what I mean.

No, because they would be a competitor. There are several places selling them though. Have a google for usb "b to b". The quotes are important, otherwise it will just find lots of pages saying a to b. There is also at least one shop, who is also a high street retailer of pcs, that is selling a usb a to b adapter.

If you need one in a hurry, you could actually make one yourself out of two normal usb cables, as theres only 4 wires inside that you would need to join.

If he already has a USB lead he can always use an adapter, something like this:

No, it won't work. Well definately not with Sky+ since the USB ports are disabled (although supply 5v).

Also, I have never seen a mobile phone with a USB B socket on, perhaps a mini 5-pin USB socket though...

You'd need a mini USB B plug wouldn't you? Mobile phones don't have the normal sized ports, they'll have smaller ones.
