I want, no need a PS3 now for the HD gaming.

Just bought a Sony KDL32D3000 for £700 The 360 looks tops on it, but PS3 looks good but so does an Elite, its got 24p which is tops for HD-DVD and Blu ray

What games are out for the PS3 that are must buys.

I've just purchased one with Resistance Fall of Man and WarHawk. WarHawk is the first must have game out for it as is only £20. Go for it!

That's an awful lot of money for a 32" screen though, I'd get a premium over an elite as VGA is near enough identical in picture quality to HDMI on the 360 except maybe VGA is a little sharper for some reason.

£400 for one game, meh. Think I will wait for the big guns to come out and play on the 360.

£700 is a lot but this is a lot of TV

Warhawk, Virtua Fighter, Motorstorm, Ninja Gaiden, R:FoM

And upcoming are Heavenely Sword, Metal Gear Solid, Gran Turismo, Driver, The Getaway

Plenty more, thats just off the top of my head.

Are you still saying PC gaming is uber expensive? :)

For the cost of a PC compared to what is actually out to play, yes its expensive IMO. Of all the games out, i still find myself playing CSS.

VGA is very good quality a lot better than component, the picture is clearer and sharper. I saw the PS3 in Virgin the other day on the Sony TV and it looked amazing. A lot better than the 360 Graphics on most games. Although I would stick with my 360 the graphics are still very good and theres still some very good games coming out on it.

But a PC isn't just for gaming so that's not really valid and anyway there's tons of stuff out and the next 3 months or so is packed with decent games. :)

But anyway lets not get into that here, still it's humorous when people spend £700+ on TVs for their consoles but say PC gaming is expensive.

Yes, I have TV that will last me far longer than any graphics/CPU and its putting out some awesome graphics and its 32" and I can sit on my chair or on my bed to watch it.

Sky+
Xbox 360
And PC connection so it will do me.

:D

Which graphics card did you say that was £80 and good enough for Bioshock?

I need a card with two DVI outputs.

Make sure you set the HDMI input the PS3 is connected to is set to 'Full Pixel' as that eliminates any overscan and gives you 1:1 pixel mapping.

Is the KDL32D3000 a HD Ready (720p) or a Full HD (1080p) screen?

it's a bit small but it'll do the job;)

i would sat only get a ps3 if you want it for more than the games. like the bluray playback, sacd playback, ect ect.

one thing i will tell you, if your serious about console gaming then it is no cheaper than pc gaming. ive spent what.....nearly £3k on a tv, av amp and a console. i spent a 3rd of that on my uberpc.

720p. there currently arent any 1080p 32" screens. not that it really matters.

I don't think you can compare a PC to a full multi media AV setup. One of the few things they have in common is playing games - there's so much more to both setups in my opinion.

Nice setup though :D

oh, totally. it's all about what you spend to enjoy your games on either platform though, isnt it? he could have spent half that on a smaller screen, but crucially he didnt. being a sucker i went and bought a 40" sony (which rocks hard) and when i wasnt happy with the sound....an onkyo 805:o i think im going to ban myself from buying anything else ever. its the only way:(

I find it funny the fact I spent £900 on a TV that i have never actually watched a television program on. That will change obviously, but for the past 2 years of owning a HD TV it has only had a games console plugged into it :D

I watch a lot of movies and sport so I can now watch HD movies and tv shows, not arsed about sport in HD atm.
