How much to make you happy for the next 2 years?

cash don't mean a lot to me... a nice girl (working on that), a good job that I'm happy doing (moving jobs soon), and a place to call my own... I think about 10k will see me more than happy. It will allow me to put a down payment for a house and set it up to a good standard. or 10k just to travel the world.......... Simple life for me; more money more worries.

just got a house so 120K to pay of the mortgage - 20k on top of that to make it look nice - 15k for a car and 2 years insurance - 10k for 2 fantastic holidays for me and the missus and possibly another 10k on top of that for a wedding soooo about....200k leaving me a bit to buy some toys :D

Everyone is going way over the top, this is just to see you through the next couple of years not set you up for life. There's no 'need' to be buying a house outright, paying of your mortgage or whatever in the next 2 years.

If I was still working then I don't feel I particularly need anything else for the next couple of years. Sure extra money is nice and I'd find things to do with it but I'm not desperate for anything at the moment.

Obviously if this is including not working then I'd need enough to cover the loss of earnings plus maybe a little more as I'd naturally be spending more if I had my days free rather than being at work. 50k should cover me.

About 15k would be nice, so i could travel the world for a couple of years and maybe have a bit left over for when i come back.

1 million dollars!

depends, working probably 30k as it would pay for my accomodation/student loan/ council tax etc for the next 2 yrs, I earn enough to live on :D

£500k

Enough to pay off debts, student loan and find a lovely house in the countryside and buy a car.

Plenty left over for a holiday and engagement ring for the gf :)

If I had 40k I could spend the next two years travelling which is what I'd really love to do. I could probably do it for a lot less, but I wouldn't want the stress of having to work whilst I travel. I would probably still work, which means a bigger budget for the fun stuff.

I'm not sure I could put a price on it. Would have to be enough to buy me a house and pay the bills, pay for courses etc so I could train in my ideal career, buy me a new car with insurance etc, more than my wages to live on as I've never been happy with that, cash to go out with and money to save so after the 2 years were up I'd have a nice nest egg. :)

I'd probably want around £300k. I don't have my own home, but I would like to buy one within the next couple of years, so I'd want enough to cover that. The rest would go on some nice holidays, new car and obviously paying off debts/student loans.

I'd settle for £500 million! Going to the ISS ain't cheap for a start. :)

I heard russia are doing trips to the ISS for private individuals. Though it'll set you back £45million per person but places are quite limited. They also did some market research before hand to find out how many people on the planet have that kind of money to spend 45 mill on a holiday and they said about 500!!

ALL OF IT.. ALL OF IT I SAY.. ALL OF IT!!

edit: i wanna move out and live alone/with-partner in around two years so um.. say half a mil? pointing out that it covers house costs, some long-*** holidays and probably a super duper new computer

I would say £100k and i wouldnt need to consider working or any other money making enterprises for the next two years. In reality virtually any amount of money would go straight into investments and wouldnt stop me working.
