cops looking for 179 mph bike vid poster!

That first bike 10 seconds in to the video nearly got splatted. Why bully other road users like that? It's selfish and stupid.

Huge acceleration though! Don't know how he managed the white lines in the wet at those speeds.

The speed of the surroundings don't seem to tie in with the speed on the speedo, if you look how fast the poles are going by and the speed the cars on the other side heading towards the bike they don't look like they are moving as fast as they would be if you were doing 150+ in the other direction. Even driving at 100mph posts etc are just a blur suppose it may be because its being videod but it doesn't look right. Also hitting a wet white line going round a corner at 170mph+ would generally result in the bike going off the road.

I've been on two wheels for loger than I care to recall.

Thats exactly the type of behaviour that tars all us bikers with the same brush.

Ridiculous overtakes, a load of near misses and to cap it all off the weather conditions are not exactly ideal for any sort of fast road antics.

Complete idiots, both of them.

Was rather silly doing those speeds whilst cornering on wet double white lines

But his riding isn't as bad as the bloke in the " Stu-pid " riding videos.

LOL !!

Hearing / Seeing him lock up when that MPV came into his lane was funny.

Was thinking the same thing, and having had the displeasure of driving on the Portuguese road system myself I'm surprised he didn't just give up then.

That video really doesnt look right at all!!

When hes doing 40mph at the beginning traffic is hardly moving

Nothing wrong with the other vehicles mate - the trucks are moving quite normally.

Wet weather, busy road & two cretins = disaster waiting to strike tbh.

I hope the coppers get them.

Still maintain that speedo isnt right at 150mph you can still see the road signs, anyone whos been that speed will be able to tell you that you couldnt.

At beginning of video hes doing just under 30mph and if you look at lines in centre of the road it takes a few seconds just to go past one of them.

That speedo is kmh

I find that unlikely. Ive been pretty fast in my car. i aint saying how fast of course ;) and that bike looked way faster than me.

Look at when the bike is doing nearly 60, you think a big artic like that is gonna do nearly 60 on a road like that when its raining?

Above about 120 lines in the road should appear solid, they certainly dont in that video

To all the people stating that white lines and road signs should be blurred at that speed. Your eyes do not work in the same way as a camera and such visual phenomena cannot be compared. Depending on the light levels at the time the video was filmed a very high shutter speed may have been used. This would lead to road markings and signs being visible even at very high speeds.

Where is an arctic doing 60?

He's at 60 next to one and he's going past it.

Whenever he's actually in the traffic he's going about 30, which would be 18mph if his speedo was k/mh, not going to happen.

Also, to the human eye the lines might be solid at that speed, to a quality camera with 30fps+ they're not.

And as said earlier in the thread, he's in 5th near the limiter when hitting that speed, if it was k/mh that'd mean he was only doing 109mph in 5th near the redline ;)

Ok well after watching loads of ghostriders movies and seeing what roads, cars and other objects appear like at speeds like those im saying he aint doing that speed based on what things look like in ghostriders videos :)

Jeez that guys a nutter, way too fast for that road for my liking.

I think all the doubters must be tin can drivers who don't want to believe bikes really are that fast. :p

Having watched that video again, I've decided he's the bravest biker I know, taking bends, crossing the slippery white line & in the wet @ 130+ MPH.

Somehow, I think the speed has to be KM/H, road signs come past much quicker @ 130MPH that, I do know.
