The "Fail Boat" picture - origins?

It's name was the Cougar Ace. It was carrying a boatload (excuse the pun) of cars for Mazda.

Amazing it kept afloat and didn't cap-size completely. You'd think the sides of the ship wouldn't be water-tight and therefore let water in causing it to sink.
Even more amazing they managed to right it, and with the cars on board being tied down there wasn't much damage to them.
