Thought who is that knocking this late and praying the kids don't wake up at the same time. Taxi driver asking if we know where and such a place is. Erm no and why on earth knock on someone's door this late to ask such a stupid question? Buy a map or radio in to ask.

That's presuming it was actually a taxi driver and not someone checking you're not in before burgling you.

Well he was fairly old and the car was running outside, plus Cliff answered the door and he can take care of himself (did martial arts and was good) so I'm not worried on that respect.

Watch yourself Jodie, no end of nuts out there!

was he English, because you've already said hes old, so perhaps it was more common to do that back in the olden days and he has more faith in the english community, also he could have been out of radio range to his hq and as you've said he's old, so doesn't have a mobile etc

At least they only bothered you and not everyone in the street.

They often just park up in the middle of the road and sound their horn until the fare comes out.

He sounded English. There are a couple of taxi firms in our village and I've never had any of the ones outside of here be out of radio range before, we're not in the middle of nowhere. My grandad has a mobile and he's a pensioner as does Cliff's grandad.

One way of looking at it although he wasn't looking for anyone on this street he was asking for directions. I wouldn't have been too pleased if he'd woken the baby though as he's teething and didn't get to sleep until later than usual as it was poor thing.

as does my granddad lol, but i was just trying to justify why he would do that!

Believe me, I know the dread associated with the possibility of the baby waking. Mine is a year old and teething at the moment. Takes her hours to get to sleep and can be set off at the slightest noise.

Awful isn't it? Ethan is 7 and a half months and teething earlier than the other two,.

Cambourne has it's fair share of low life and junkie scum, I wouldn't be opening the door at this time as it is.

Haven't seen any of that myself, most of Cambourne is full of families with young chilldren. Are you thinking of the same place as there's also a Cambourn (sp?) in Cornwall.
