So what do people use?

Quick Charge Cradle and packs?

Play and Charge Kit? How do they work?

Or some really good rechargeable batteries and charger

What do you recommend?

Rechargeable batteries (2700mah ones) and a sprint 20 minute charger. They last 2.5-3 times as long as the play and charge kits.

Play and charge kit that's plugged into my PC. when I walk away from the 360 I just plug it in, keeps it charged no problem. No messing around changing batteries.

My PC won't charge a play and charge for some reason, the light goes red, then turns off

Yet it'll power a bus powered drive. It used to work though!

I use a quick charge kit and 2 packs on rotation. I have spare rechargeable batteries on hand since I use them in my mouse and Wii controllers. Hardly ever change to the batteries unless I am playing 2 player.

hmm didnt know that the plug and play would work with a pc. means when i switch off the xbox it wont stay on standby mode humming

Energizer rechargables....got 2 chargers both taking 4 batteries each and plenty of batteries ...(use them for mouse n keyboard as well)

and they last for ages

Quick charge with 1 battery pack, one 2 hour charge per week and its fine.

Nope, not that fussed...I'll still need to plug in my BT dongle to use my kb and mouse though! Will try other ports next time it needs a charge

Play & Charge kit.

You get a rechargeable battery & USB cable with it. The cable attaches to the top of the controller to charge it.

i use the play & charge kit, when the lights start flashing, plug it in and carry on playing - job done

Always just wait till the battery pack dies and then plug the Play and Charge in.

It's got an extra long cable, so you hardly notice when it is plugged in and charging.

Isnt the 360 battery 2700mah anyway? Mine lasts over 2 weeks before I have to worry about a charge.

Had a look aroun a few shops, but i know nothing about them.

Quick charge kit (cradle) here with 4 battery packs. That's all I ever need.
