I'm looking to increase the air flow through my Akasa Zen case by drawing more air out than is being drawn in by the front fan.

I've been looking for a fan that'll expel more air than the stand 120mm Akasa fan fitted in my case and not be too noisy, when I came across some Hiper fans (didn't know they did them :o ) and a brand called Evercool, but I wandered whether they were any good.

Any other suggestions would be welcome.

TIA, dagwoood.

ivw had hiper case fans and all of them started making ticking noises after about 2 monthes ,also hiper psu died after 1 yr so personally id stay well clear

evercool are an old school name, i used to use one at 45dec on an SK6/1g axia combo...

very good fans imho - it still works fnd to this day

Thanks for the replies guys.

Think I'll give the Hiper fans a miss then and the Akasa Ambers don't shift as much air as the fans I already have in my case (I like the Ambers, had a few in my old case).

I think I'll try an Evercool fan then.

Cheers, dagwoood.

I have 2 x 12cm & 2 x 8cm Akasa Amber Ultra's on my case. The 12cm ones run at 12v and the 8cm ones at 5v and I can hardly hear a thing :D

Yate loons are the daddy fans, and believe me I've tried loads and every purchase since the yates I would class as a waste of money.

Scythe S-Flex = motor noise, and the fans are like £13.00 odd.
Papst 144GL's, a user on XtremeSystems was raving about this but they had motor ticking noise - again these were expensive.

The problem you have is, fans are pretty much fans. There really is no revolutional design that can differ any one from the rest. For instance, Noctua claims to be silent and push good air but their design means they blow (pun) in high pressure situations.

Yate loons are under £4.00 and are just mighty impressive.

All fans at 12v are audible, so I always use a fan controller. Best of both worlds that way.
