For those who are posting here requesting information or reviews to make you want to play the game; Your out of luck.

TT isn't a game that can be force-fed into being liked. You play it, you either hate it or love it. Either way it's bad news for you. If you hate to play it then your missing out on one of the finest games to come out of the mid-nineties, if you love it then you can kiss goodbye to any plans you had this weekend, because I can guarantee you this game will eat up your day.

Getting engrossed in a game of TT is an experience as much as it is a game.

Amen. This is the game that killed my social life before I knew about the likes of WoW. Just make sure you get plenty of food and drink ready for the monster session that is sure to set off once you press that short-cut key on your desktop.

I dont want this to sound like im pressurising you into making it quicker, but do you have any idea as to when you will be able to finish it? As im really quite excited about it, sad i know lol.

If you're referring to my post, it's going quite well though obviously pretty slowly. I've got most of the major towns in place and some neat work around the coastlines but there's an awful lot to do.

Can release it as a wip if you're interested.

Just got into playing this. Somehow doesn't feel the same as the old transport tycoon used to. Unfortunately, I dont think the link to the freeware copy of TTD allows you to play it without installing OpenTTD, keeps complaining about the registry.

I've got to go out for a bit but will leave it running.

You need to have the original copy of TTD installed to be able to install OpenTTD. OpenTTD is just a remake of the original but with added features which the developers seemingly missed out first time round.

Yeah, openTTD is what Im playing and it works fine. Im just saying I cant play the original copy on its own.

Not seeing it here either. You forwarded the correct ports? I can set one up on my machine here if there is enough interest. My upload isn't great, but I don't think it needs to be with TTD.

What is it. A new install client? Can someone link me to this download as this is one of my fave games of all time. I have the install CD but it would take some digging out to find it, do I need it?
