Just got confirmation of this a few days ago! Me and the lads are going to live it up in Florida for a week next March!:D
Got tickets for the Hall of Fame show too, and the Pre-Wrestlemania event.
Is anyone else going/thinking of going?
Has anyone elce been to a Wrestlemania? If so, got any hints and tips for the day?

Boast over;)

Well we got a 3 day package deal, which were extending to a week. For hotel, coach transport, tickets (Wrestlemania, Hall of Fame, Pre Show, Universal Studios), were talking just under a grand i think. Yes it's expencive, but hopefully it'll be well worth it.
Plus were going to need spending money too.

Found wrestling a pretty staged event, use to watched it on Sky, and noticably freezing frames on DVDs, on near all occasions I have noticed punches are not connecting and the wrestlers are acting out being punched ... bit to much faking and acting for me. If you want a true combat sport try UFC, 100% realism showing mixed marshal arts at its very best..

I used to like wrestling many many years ago but I found it tried to be too much of a soap/drama to keep viewers interested and put me off.

I hope you have a great time. I don't think I would want to spend £1000 on watching wrestling in USA though.

I was a huge fan in my younger days, i don't watch WWE much anymore, but iv'e never stopped disliking it.

It is what it is, good entertainment, and to me its all about having a good time, and getting the beers in with the lads. Coupled with the atmosphere of the event, i'd say it's worth the money for me.

So basically you have just now managed to figure out something the rest of the planet has known for probably 15-20 years or so?

Wrestling never really is real or close to it with the exception of some matches in japan. People go on and on about ufc, but the matches more often than not tend to look like 2 men dryhumping each other. With wrestling you know the outcomes are predetermined but you're getting something thats entertaining and watchable, a ufc match can be over in less than a minute and all that minute of action was, was 2 guys looking like theyre going at it.

It would be good again if someone on the creative team would inform Vince that he's 63 years old and is no longer in touch with what people want to see. He's just content to shove that bore cena down people's throats constantly.

They build a heel up and then have him lose to cena, happened to both umaga (or umanga as that knob regal likes to call him) and orton. Same thing again with Khali. Half the time i really can't be bothered watching but do out of force of habit.

The only thing that got cena popular in the first place was his little "freestyles" and the way he took shortcuts to win but still stayed as a face, soon as he wins the WWE title all that goes out the window and hes the stereotypical all american good guy that people got bored of long ago. Seems with all these creative writers all WWE can do consistantly is rehash storylines and characters.

You realise 10 WWE superstars have been suspended due to taking steriods.

Wrestling has gone down hill since The Rock and Stone Cold left, there match at wrestlemania 19 was the best ever :D

Yup, there is talk that 9 of them will be suspended for 30 days with no pay and the other will be suspended for 60 days with no pay. That's all it is, they'll be back as soon as the suspension is over, it's not as if they are being sacked. It's because they have breached the WWE's wellbeing policy.

Also it's not due to the taking of steroids, it's due to taking steroids that were obtained from a shady pharmaceutical company that has given steroids and other drugs to lots of other sports stars. There are reports that 2 NFL starts at least will be suspended in conjunction with the same company. The steroids were being given out with a Doctors consent.

Wrestling went downhill ages ago. Maybe thats just my opinion because I've grown up. But I was addicted to it between 92-97 and only watched it sparingly since.
