Hey guys,

I just took my heatsink of my working system to reseat it and apply some AC5. I passed the CPU to my friend whilst I sorted the HSF out and he managed to drop it onto the carpet. A few pins were bent but I straightened them, and it slotted back into the mobo fine.

I booted everything back, all the fans were working and everything seemed fine - except for the lack of VGA output to my monitors. They don't pick up on anything at all, however the GPU seems to be running (the sound is the same and the GPU fans are spinning)

So I'm not sure what the problem is - I had a similar problem a few weeks back but reseating the card seemed to solve that.

My specs:

X2 4400
8N-E
X1900XT

Are you sure you didn't forget to put one of the power connectors back in after you removed the heatsink? :P

I'll triple check but the heatsink doesn't seem to be the problem. It's all spinning and ready to go - there just seems to be no VGA output.

Check your VGA cable is properly connected, reseat G card and even try reseting CMOS.

Tried all of those :(

I actually meant something like if you had removed the +12v 4pin next to the CPU, so that you could get at the heatsink easier.
