It doesn't really make sense though.
Wouldn't it make sense only if a "bird could bird", or a "fly could not fly"? (I believe "or" is correct because "the difference" implies there is only one difference).

The smiley would have been a good place to stop. As usual. It doesn't really make sense though.

Holy bat crap. I still don't know if you are serious or not, Angus.
I am serious because I (generally) find jokes funny if they make sense, otherwise it seems illogical (and rather strange) to find a joke funny as one could class many things as jokes (which are not generally funny).
Angus Higgins
Surely that would have been better worded as -
I am serious because generally, I find jokes funny if they make sense. Otherwise it seems illogical, and rather strange to find a joke funny, as one could class many things which are not openly funny, as jokes.
Jesus thats a lot of commas.

I typed it in that manner in order to increase the efficiency of the reader. I believe it makes sense without the brackets, and thus if the person does not have sufficient time to warrant reading a more detailed post, they can read the post without the brackets. With commas this is much more difficult to do as it requires one to read-ahead in a sense, and if one were to skip out all comma separated areas of text it might not make as much sense.
I am trying to aid efficiency, the goal of many people.

I understand what you're saying Angus, but it's actually over complicating your posts to the point where it's actually taking longer for the reader to get through them.
It's hard work to read your posts, and not because I'm stupid - it's because you use at least twice as many words as you need to.
I gather you think it makes you look clever, but really it just makes reading your posts a chore. And quite funny.
