Q. What is the difference between a bird and a fly?

A. A bird can fly but a fly can't bird!

Forgive me, i'm sitting here watching Who Wants To Be A Millionaire bored as hell.

It doesn't really make sense though. :p

Wouldn't it make sense only if a "bird could bird", or a "fly could not fly"? (I believe "or" is correct because "the difference" implies there is only one difference).

Holy bat crap. I still don't know if you are serious or not, Angus.

Do you have nothing better to do Angus?

I'd feel sorry for anyone sat anywhere near you during a comedy or stand up act.

LOL!

It was reading his reply that was funniest, the way he put every other word in a sentence.

Fair play in you though Angus its not as if youre using the language badly (Like i just did there[My enrish are rubbish])

I lol'd (Also I think people are being a bit harsh on Angus [So what if he makes things a bit over complicated {and uses brackets extensively <and has had a sense of humor failure (whilst at the same time inexplicably signs off his posts for no apparent reason)>}])

Love you really Angus <3

;)

I am serious because I (generally) find jokes funny if they make sense, otherwise it seems illogical (and rather strange) to find a joke funny as one could class many things as jokes (which are not generally funny).

Surely that would have been better worded as -

Jesus thats a lot of commas.

I typed it in that manner in order to increase the efficiency of the reader. I believe it makes sense without the brackets, and thus if the person does not have sufficient time to warrant reading a more detailed post, they can read the post without the brackets. With commas this is much more difficult to do as it requires one to read-ahead in a sense, and if one were to skip out all comma separated areas of text it might not make as much sense.

I am trying to aid efficiency, the goal of many people.

I understand what you're saying Angus, but it's actually over complicating your posts to the point where it's actually taking longer for the reader to get through them.

Is it me or does Angus sound like Alice from the Vicar of Dibley at the end where Geraldine tells her a joke?

It's hard work to read your posts, and not because I'm stupid - it's because you use at least twice as many words as you need to.

I gather you think it makes you look clever, but really it just makes reading your posts a chore. And quite funny.

Tell the truth *afro-Caribbean non gender specific accent thingy*

Where is this gathered from?

Basically, I type how I think. When I am typing a post I am thinking out each word in my mind. I naturally put the words into the brackets, it is something I do in my mind even when talking (however I do not use the brackets vocally).

I believe that becoming more efficient should be the goal of everyone, and thus I am aiding it. I am certainly not trying to "look clever" as this would not be the place to do that (I would chose a more academic forum/community [no offence to the Overclockers UK community]).

This is how I think, and thus this is how I type.
