Hi all,

My favourite film, growing up, has to be 'The Blues Brothers'

I watched it again last night and it still has the amazing pull of good feeling that it did 20 odd year ago.

Not a question really, but if you want to post memories of this cult film, then please do.

Elwood - "It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses."

Jake - "Hit it"

Jake had the smooth moves

Elwood had the driving skills

I'm pretty sure that at one point this had the most expensive car chase in history with the most cars wrecked. It is definitely in my top 10 of all time cheesy feel-good films and the soundtrack is simply brilliant.

Elwood: "Illinois Nazis."
Jake: "I hate Illinois Nazis." :D

I've recently had an audition to be Jake in a Blues Brothers tribute act.
I've been accepted but I don't know whether to take it.
Decisions decisions.

one of my favorite films and has one of my favorite songs, cant turn you loose. which is from the car chase.

my favorite lines

"this place has everything"

"they broke my watch"

and in blues brothers 2000

"they broke all our watches"

I like the "Bobs Country Bunker Scene"

Jake: About our money for tonight...
Bob: Thats right. Uh $200, and you boys drank $300 worth of beer.

The OTT typically american ending rules too.. Swat team running around shouting "hut, hut, hut" with every movement :D

Can't beat Princess Leia blowing them both up in the flat with the LAW, only to have them crawl out of the rubble, dust themselves off and carry on as normal. :D

:D LMAO!!!!

Just love it, they are asleep, suddenly it collapses and they stand up and say "we gotta get to work" and just walk off.

Or just before when she trys shooting them and they duck, then afterwards, stand up pull the doors off the hinges and walk upstairs.

Fantastic films. First is still one of my favourite films.

Shame the Official Tribute to the Blues Brothers is no longer touring. They were great. Even got Rolf Harris involved in their last tour. :D

Will get over the HoB in Chicago one day to see the Blues Brothers band perform.

Top film, loads of quality moments.

"Four fried chickens and a Coke."

When going to see the nun, their constant use of expletives- "Jeeeeesus Christ, ****!"

The restaurant scene is great, chucking food in each others mouths. The mall chase scene where they dart through an entire (disused in reality) mall, destroying everything in sight.

The Good Ol' Boys.

Never seen the sequel and don't particularly want to.

How much for de wimmin? How much for de little girl? Your wimmin, I want to buy your wimmin.
