LOTRO 7 Day trial

Just saw this on fileplanet, a 7 day trial to lotro, the download is pretty hefty at 7gb but if you have the connection ive heard its well worth it, im currently downloading from Gamershell...You can also get it on dvd for £3 from the site below.

Agreed, one of my work mates loved this when it came out and heard good things from a few others but it really bored me. Didn't compare to WOW at all and I wasn't obsessed with that either

To be honest I liked it. If I wasn't enjoying raiding in WoW so much I'd happily play it as my main mmo.

7 days is not enough to get into a MMO.

I downloaded the game but uninstalled it again and didn't backup the exe so can't be bothered with the 7.5gig download again lol

I loved it, not been on it much lately though as I have too many games to play right now.

Definitely getting back on it though before or when player housing is introduced.

It is my first mmo so I have nothing to compare it against does anyone know if after the 7 day period I can upgrade my account to a full one? Or do I have to go out and buy the game...

At the moment you have to go out and buy the game, but digital key sales are not far away.

Shame I was really looking at getting a full subscription but now I have to go out and buy the game at £30 even though ive got it on my drive already

I have played pretty much all the big MMO games to the highest level and I think this game pretty cool.

I have spent a lot of time just looking at the area, the visuals are the best I have seen in a game of this type.

Easy to play and get in to, if you follow the stories and quests the game is interesting, its not much of a kill monsters all day game its more quest driven.

The monster play is pretty cool

Yh im really liking this so far, im a level 5 hunter elf and im strongly considering getting this.

Bare in mind i think this version of the game is the low res version.

well i've been playing for a while (hundreds of hours)

and i love it (though i am a big lotr fan)

get yourself into a good, friendly kinship and you'll enjoy the game much more as u should find it easier to find fellowships etc.

im not gonna do the big plug but i personally think the kin im in is V good with players at all Lvls if your on snowbourn and fancy joining or if u just want some in game advise feel free to drop me a line @ lokion (command incase anyone doesnt know is /tell lokion "message content")

low res? Its the full version as far as i can see and I installed the Hi res texture pack as well. Looks fantastic on all maximum settings running flawlessly.

the game isnt a free MMO, you have to buy the game to play it ... you can easily pick it up for £24 which includes a months gametime

Lotro is a great game, ive not had as much fun since SWG from an mmo although i didnt even try WoW but i didnt fancy playing in a land that looked like the teletubies

i think Lotro caters to fans of tolkien quite well and therefore a more mature user base , it might not captivate everyone but like Loki said after hundreds of hrs, its still got tons of gameplay/life in it yet
