Just won a 2 items on ebay but both of the items i have won do not accept paypal:confused:Is this a common thing with all the paypal scams........? One seller has about 500+ feedback and the other only has 7. The thing is when i sent them a message asking for cheque payable name, i have received the same message all the time only with R Stewart and address for cheque to be sent.

Don't look awfully scam like to me, but I'd always be careful buying designer goods off ebay, especially at hard to believe prices.

Both look fine to me, but i will echo that^^ be careful when buying any designer gear on ebay. a lot of fakes about, which you probably knew anyhow. Most sellers are good though and will let you send stuff back if you feel the item isn't genuine.

You should always check whether or not they accept your chosen method of payment before you bid. If it's says it does then it's certainly suspicious to later refuse it, and you can refuse to pay if you're not happy with that.

On the other hand some sellers simply don't trust PayPal or don't want to pay its fees.

With clothes that are cheap one indication I use is that when other people are bidding on them it usually means they are real. Same goes for any other item, if it attracting a lot of attention, its usually worth having

"Shipped direct from overseas suppliers" doesn't fill me with confidence

Jeans look fake, coat looks fine, neither are scams and both will turn up IMO

The second link says they accept PayPal in the auction description.

Have you had the same address name from both auctions and different users? (sorry bit confused.)

It is quite common for people not to accept PayPal, two of our businesses don't except PayPal when we put things on Ebay purely because we'd be losing more money than we need to.

Ive bought loads of things from sellers who dont accept paypal. Usually means its a shop, garage etc (usually motorbike gear). I have to phone them and pay by card.

Its always turned up for me.

Because there is so much fake clothing on EBay it makes selling the authentic stuff a little difficult.
I'm currently attempting to sell a Ferrari fleece/jacket.
Fully authentic, tags etc purchased for over £200.
It was bought for my dad who only had the opportunity to wear it about 5 times before he sadly passed away about 4 months ago.
I'm trying to resell it and because it is authentic I'm trying to get a good fair price - even £100 I think is a little low.
However it is competing against other items of clothing you know full well are fake but at atractive prices - the quality is of course **** compared to the authentic stuff, but there.

It's also really annoying when you get people not believing what you are selling is authentic when you know damn well it is as you were the one who paid full price for it...

Sorry - a bit of an OT rant there for a second.
