I haven't played Madden since Madden '92 on the Megadrive, what a game that was! I'm tempted to pick this up seeing as it's had some good reviews.

Do you think it will be much of an improvement of my old game?

Last NFL game i played was around the Xbox Live release forgot the name of it. but i got smocked online. i was thinking of actually getting this though

Just got back from the store with my bro, picked up a copy of Madden 08, some new features on it judging by the back of the box ie you can now order the NFL champ ring

..all new read and react system, new better hitstick and also now have the option of choosing NFL legends like Joe Montana, Walter Payton and Barry Sanders to name a few...also some new animations ie players reacting etc.

Havent had a chance to put it in for a play but will do later on tonight.

I did notice though, that the hitstick is much easier to do on the xbox 360 compared to the PC.

I love NFL games, NFL Fever 2003 back on the Xbox was awesome, I got 37th in the world on Xbox Live.

tbh guys i did'nt like it at all, did no-one else find it mind boggling to control? i mean you stop every 2 seconds anyway, looks good though, but then 360 games always do

Will take a while for me to get used to. Expecially as I dont know how to see your play pre snap.

Just had a quick game of this tonight with my bro and i have to say its the best edition of Madden on the 360...the gameplay is super super smooth...not much jerking like the previous 2 editions had. Some fancy new features as well...will take me some time to actually work them out and be able to use them effectively.

Caned the Falcon, who are my bros team 38-3

...hes now gone off in a sulk

. But really i am pleasantly surprised at how smooth and gameplay and gfx are...looks like developers are finally getting the hang of the 360 gfx capabilities. Bioshock is another extremely smooth game as well with lush gfx to boot.

Yup im sure you can, not sure about 2v2 though but definitely play against each other on the same console but not as much fun as you can see which plays either one of you are picking..so can adjust your defences accordingly unless you change the play once your on the field ie on fly change.

Ahhh right, never knew that existed lol...although did wonder if the game allowed you to bluff plays.

Awesome game

Been playing it today.

I suck atm, used to play the Madden games on the PC with a completely different pad, adjusting to the 360 one is strange. Great graphics, the animations are perfect.

Same with me. I'm used to playing with the PS2 pad.
And I always press the wrong button for the X button.
As I'm so used to the ps2 pad i always press A. Always getting intercepted 'cos of it lol.

Dan and darkcinder, at the moment ive added you guys but wont be able to partake in any games till i get back to the UK, which hopefully should be in another week or so.

Once i get back then we can have a few games if you guys fancy it.

My friends and I have been playing 3-player co-op versus the computer on the Wii. Very, very confusing to control until you've played through the training tutorials a couple of times but well worth the effort.
