hi guys,

am about to purchase off someone at craigslist - meeting tomorrow. but all i have is a mobile phone number. tomorrow i will ask for a name and address in case of problems, but does anyone know if a mobile phone number is enough to have if i needed to take this to a small claims court in the event of a problem?

thanks

I have 5 sim cards sat on my desk, each with a different number, they were provided by O2, but could just have easily been bought on an auction site or from a market. I could use it for one day to speak to you, then throw it in the bin. How would you ever trace me?

also true :)

am purchasing a nintendo wii, and don't really want to get it home and it not be working or something like that. hmmm have to decide now if i want to risk it.

thanks

I should think so, so long as you make sure they are genuine, that should be all you need to make a small claim I think. Might not even need the phone number for that, but that is just for convenience :p

yeah :) well i am meeting them so i can see how they appear. otherwise i can just walk away :D

anyway cheers for the help - fingers crossed now (not the first time i've said that today!!)

I'd be quite adament on seeing it work, TBH.

More fool you if you hand over cash for something you don't even 100% know works.

he wasn't willing to give me his address so i could see it work or a phone number or a name so i said no. ah well, im sure i can find another wii somewhere!!
