**Official Spoiler free Bioshock thread**

That means anyone who has questions about set up or gameplay must read the spoilers.
 
Yep, I agree with that! I would like to talk bout BioShock, but cant without getting a spoiler in my face. And then if you post another thread bout BioShock you get moaned at for doing so! So beware Jas72!
 
It's prob worth making another "official" thread but title it "officially spoiler-free". It's a sad state of affairs but for some reason random people putting "official" in the title of their threads is seen as the cool thing to do 'round here.

There's a tech support thread floating around too, but it's not particularly popular.
 
well ok I was wanting to find out good places to download the demo to see if my aging 7600GT can cope with it.
 
My housemate is running it with an X1550 and though it's not incredibly speedy, it's more than playable. I'd imagine that a 7600GT would be able to cope with it.

I'd look for the demo on torrent sites. I got it from one of the popular ones a while back and it came through pretty quickly.
 
gamershell.com is always a good place to get demos... well I use it anyway :)
 
Agree with the spoilers bit - I haven't been into that thread since people started completing the game, and posting spoilers without even trying to hide it.

CMON PEOPLE - at least have the decency to post the text in the same colour blue as OcUK
 
This is why official threads are awful. Why keep all the information in a huge thread when you could far more easily have multiple variants? Sure it clutters the main page, but it is a choice between a lot of bioshock threads, or no threads except the official one with hundreds of replies to sift through, I'd pick multiples every time.

The two main Bioshock thread separate got merged...
 
Yeh I've not looked at the Main Bioshock thread either since the spoilers all came in. At the moment I only have the demo (full game next week) so don't want it spoilt for me before I've even played it.
Yet I'd like to hear all about the other stuff!
 
Ask away in here about stuff for now. I'm checking this thread for most of the afternoon and I've completed it + dealt with technical problems and won't post any spoilers ;)
 
At the time the spoiler thread was created countless new threads with spoilers in were popping up all over the place so it was done to combat that.
Now that things have calmed down I'll make this one the non-spoiler Bioshock thread for those who haven't played it yet:)
 
i tend to use font colour #1C5780 to hide text like <this> but when a user clicks reply the text is exposed by a degree in the topic review, so it has a flaw :(

it would be nice to have a dedicated spoiler tag for ease and uniformity. also, if it prevents people falling out thats a good thing.
 
I agree with the spoiler free option, you just cannot trust people to hide their spoilers and so I have avoided the 'official' forum since it merged.

I have to say that I am loving the game, absolutely superb. Maybe not a huge challenge to play but a very fun and rewarding game nonetheless.
 
good idea with the spoiler freeness, my copy should be waiting for me when i get back from work today, hopefully all will go well and it will be completed this time next week.

i did avoid the other thread though for fear of ruining the storyline

thanks I am going to download the demo I will try to use a torrent I've not had much luck with them in the past.

I was waiting for Gamershell but it's been at 100% for nearly a week now.

Everyone says the soundtrack is ace.
