Why can no-one spell liscensce?

I must admit I'm guilty of this little spelling faux-pas. I used to think that 'licence' was the verb and 'license' the noun which is of course wrong. Unfortunately the habit of spelling it with an 's' has stuck now.

I'm going straight to hell :(.

It makes no difference what country its from, your writing in ENGLISH, therefore you should ruddy well spell in it.

Try writing in English using Welsh spelling rules ;)
 
Haha, poor guy, I think he was just trying to get 'in' with it, you know how every now and then a thread comes up with someone crying about OcUK's grammar and spellings.

So why did you spell it in an American manner in one of your posts?

if you're gonna pick on people mistaking a noun for a similar verb, you'd be better off starting with advice/advise. But serioulsy, why bother?
 
Not too fussed about misspellings of fairly difficult words, as I can understand we can all get muddled sometimes.

But what gets on my wig is how people on here don't seem to understand when and where to use "there", "their", and "they're", it really isnt that difficult.
 
I always spell it with a C then it looks wrong, and change it to an S, now with Firefox spillchucker, it sorts it out for me :)
