Why can no-one spell liscensce?

...those are all mistakes that annoy me. But Lisence and Licence are so similar, and their meanings so similar, that really you've gotta be a bit of a nazi to care about it! Another 'acceptable' mistake is the Your/You're one, and capitalising words is another I don't care about.

So near - yet so far...

Seriously guys - it's liscensce. There is two S's in licence yet people stick them in all over the place... so often I see the American 'license' written here or some muppets even write 'liscense' or some horrible version.

I think you'll find that the correct spelling is, 'licence'.

I think you meant:

"There are two S's....." < < rather than is, given that you were talking in the plural sense.
