New low? Sony edits Halo 3 Wikipedia entry

Am I the only one who really couldnt give a toss about how it looks? Halo 2 had damn good graphics for its time and still does today, so what can they really do to it? All I can see them improve upon is lighting and the effects (such as water, explosions etc) and also output it to 720p. While playing the Beta the lighting and explosion effects were great.

Its also a well known fact that multi-player is always going to take a graphical hit so things can keep running smoothly.

Halo 2 tonight?

It's a childish act that shows a real lack of class to be honest. Sony ought to discipline the responsible prat to be honest. You'd never see a Nintendo employee doing something so stupid. First of all they use screenshots of PGR 3 on their website and now this. Sony ought to get their heads down and start turning out the games to gives us something worthwhile to play on our PS3 console. They haven't got time to waste throwing cheap jibes at the competition.

lol at the response's in this thread, ' a real lack of class ' and so on. Same could be said of peter moore and his lack of class with his ' you know things break ' or robbie bach selling off a couple of million dollars worth of shares before the ' all 11 million xbox360's sold so far are inherently faulty ' statements. They are just people, most of all business people and all people retain the capacity to be richards.

This whole story fails as news, sorry.

The same was said about the things you mentioned.

Its funny that it was tracked to Sony but will it gain or lose them anything?I doubt it.
The people that dislike Sony/like Halo will just say "Typical Sony" and the people that like Sony/dislike Halo will say "Good on them."

The problem I have with Wikipedia is that it has a chance of being altered by fans. The problem I have with fans (the majority of them at least) is that they are blind.

Pretty much sums it up.

If I say something about someone on a random forum whilst I happen to be working does that mean that what I've said is representative of the company I work for?

Is Sony (or any company) expected to control the minds/actions/opinions of every single member of their workforce?

So some scouse bloke who could have ANY lowly position in SCEE somewhere in the country gave his opinion about something and vandalised a Wiki entry, ipso facto Sony said Halo 3 is rubbish! Hold the front page!

Its abit harsh to blame an entire company due to one individual.

No, that's real-life. If I do something in my life to rubbish another company that can be traced back to the company I work for then it would be as though my company did it, and i'd probably get fired. Large companies have strict ethics policies and codes of conduct that cover incidents such as this. There's no excuse basically.
