Just got a 2 of Good year Eagle for My audi originaly the tyres were Contiental
Are these tyres half decent .. could have gone with the budget option but decided to go for the middle price range. These are fitted to my Audi A4 ... It maybe me, but already I seem to be seeing a bit more grip on the road my journey to and from work involves mix of motorway and winding bends and there is one particular bend I go past everyday that I have to drop to 20 to get round however the car with these tyres on the rear felt a lot firmer and seemed to hold the road.allowing me to go round smoothly at 25 . maybe my imagination after driving my wifes Fiesta :) for a few days.

Anyway comments would be appreciated, obv I know that I am asking you after the fact .. more intrested to see what kind of tyres and if anyone rates them as to anything else.:):)

Got some eagle f1s for my clio a while back, they seem OK, but I preferred the conti sport 3s beforehand, shame that they're so damn expensive though.

Although I do prefer the contis they do seem like pretty good tyres and are wearing well for the abuse I give them...

i had eagle f1's on my 1.2 clio...granted by no way a performance car however the level of grip was superb in comparason to the milleniums i had on before (which actually worked out more expensive).

Only got them as they were a bargain.... 2 x 195/45/16's = £100. ebay bargain, they were brand new, with stickers from a tyre dealership in derby.

It depends entirely on which Eagle's you've fitted. As you are saying you went for a mid range tyre I will assume they are Eagle NCT5's. These are a decent average tyre.

If you've bought Eagle F1's, though, these are an exceptional tyre with fantastic grip especially in the wet, but they will not last as long as other tyres.

Just for an FYI, EVO I think are doing a full tyre test/review/bias opinion/made up stats/ thing in their next issue. Could be worth a read........or not.

Will be a good read. I fully expect them to say something like 'OMG THE NEW EAGLES ARE AWESOME' after I spent £530 on the old Eagle's becuase I couldnt find a decent review on the new ones :p

You knows it

F1s (GS-D2s) were very good on my Xsara, lasted 10k miles and were still going strong when I sold the car. Much better grip and wet performance than the previous Michelin Energys or Goodrich Profilers, though road noise and fuel consumption got slighlty worse.

Ouch, was only £155 for a pair in 215/45/17 for me this week.

Will have to get that. My Mrs has just got a job at Continental, will be nice to see how our future budget tyres will shape up;).

I have a set of GSD3s which are just coming up to 32k and only just wearing on the shoulders. But then my wheelspin and burn out days are behind me.

had a set of gsd3's on my m3 (rear), awesome rear end grip with fast corrections on tail out twitches
ie whenever it did lose grip it was easy and fast to get grip back :)
