Sony Fanboys really really annoy me.

I'm not a fanboy, yes I do own a 360 and not a PS3 but I won't go around saying the PS3 sucks or whatever.

A guy in work is a PS3 fanboy, big time.

He's a decent guy but he came in and asked me if I have heard of Warhawk, I said vaguely and he started going on about how good the graphics were, how good the gameplay is and then he started on the 360.

Saying how the 360 is at it's pinnacle and the games can't get any better and how it's inevitable that the PS3 will last longer due to blue-ray or whatever, at the end of it I just wanted to hit him and nearly had an arguement.

Why can't some people just enjoy their consoles and be happy with them? why do they have to go on about other consoles?

I enjoy my Wii as much as the 360, but I don't make a direct comparison because you can't compare them. Same with the 360 and PS3, I don't make a direct comparison because they each have their good and bad points.

What annoys me more, is that not only has he never played a 360, he's never even considered it, he might really enjoy it, yet he will sit there slating it. If a PS3 was put infront of me, I'd be at least tempted to play it, even though I hate the controllers.

ARGH!

Just tell him you don't want to hear it and ask him to go away.

Why does he feel the need to defend his console anyway? Perhaps you should ask him that.

I dunno, It's not asif I came in this morning and went

"Morning Mark, your PS3 sucks"

My point is, does he come up to you talking his PS3 up because he feels like he has to justify its purchase to himself? The reason I didn't buy a PS3 and chose an Xbox is because I want to own a console to enjoy playing games on NOW, not because it will be great in a couple of years time. Ask him what other games he's playing since he finished Resistance:FOM.

Well, we reguarly talk about consoles and whatever, mainly keep it to the Wii as we know that we'll just incure differences if we talk 360 and PS3.

He does come up if he has bought a Blue-Ray or a new game and says about how good it is.

Its a games console for **** sake, it does a few simple things, it costs £300/400.
Start telling him how your car or house is better than his, althought saying that he probably wouldnt care if he sleeps with his console at night.

I think he forgot that due to an operation he had before he got it on release he couldnt lift more than 5kg's (doctors orders) so I had to go with him to pick it up from the flipping store lol :p

Fanboys exist when people cannot afford to own more than one consoles.

The worst fanboys are people who did buy one of the consoles, but had to sell one, they then use the excuse "it was rubbish, so i got rid of it". These can be classed as extreme fanboys, of which there are quite a few examples.

LOL.

id tell him to shut up about his ps3 or you;ll break his other arm, and see what he says to that.

but seriously, PS3>XBOX!!!

I own a PS3, I think it's great, I prefer it to my mate's 360, but I think all this fanboyism between the two is ridiculous.
They both have plus points and minus points, you choose which one suits you best and enjoy it, making a point of trying to devalue your 'chosen enemy' by picking out it's minus points for ridicule serves no purpose. For every 360 "You've got hardly any games to play" fanboy, you'll get a PS3 "Hahahaha! DVD9!" fanboy.
The only system that really needs ridiculing right now is the Wii, which is bizarre outselling both other systems, regardless of the fact it encompasses most the minus points of the 360 and the PS3 put together.
I concede entirely that in 6-12 months time the Wii will likely have a surge of enjoyable, ingenuitive and very playable games, as the devs get used to the nunchuks. (Bit like the DS as it goes, that was dead in the water for a year, I should know, I foolishly bought one on launch day!)
However, right now there's absolutely no reason to buy a Wii, except that there's all these 'cool' adverts with middle class families playing 'fun' games together in their Ikea living rooms, which sadly exploits the aspirations of most parents.
The success of the Wii isn't down to it being a better system, it's because Ninty hit a nerve with the buying public and bascially 'did an ipod'.

Silly public.

I must admit the PS3 will be around longer than the 360 if previous generations are anything to go by.

The difference here is that it HAS to be, however it might not necessarily be. At the end of the day, Sony aren't selling as much stock as they thought they were, and those they have sold have a poor attachment rate of games.

The only one of the 3 consoles at the moment that is selling well with a high attachment rate of games is the Xbox360.
