OOOOF.

Someone should tell the onwer that his rims are to wide for his tyres, thus making them look silly and prone to damage.

As self destructing french tat goes, the 5 Turbo is a great little car. Even today it's amazing how much power you can extract from the stone age, carb fed motor.

Wow...Maybe he hasn't noticed...

Indeed...PPC has a bit about them this month.

I can't remember the last time I saw one that wasn't at a car show though :(

OT - Penski, what do you drive?

I have a POS from France at my disposal at the moment. It has holes in the floorpan, takes 10 minutes to start and smokes like nobody's business but it was free with 6 weeks tax and test so I'm not complaining. When it runs out in just over a week, I'll weigh it in.

Trying to live on the breadline so that we can get a decent deposit together for a house.

When I'm no longer contracting, I'll start to indulge again :)

I saw about 20 of them in convoy outside the Nurburgring at the oldtimer GP. Most were not chavved and looked good.

I'd imagine him to drive a Volvo 340 with the god awful 1.4 engine. But it will be cool because it will have very wide 12" wheels ;)

Tangent: I want a 340.

...But I want one with either a 440 Turbo lump (bolt in), R5 turbo lump (almost bolt in) or 16v Clio lump on bike carbs (ditto).

Edit: wide 13" or 15" wheels.

when i was thinking about hot hatches of yester-decades i considered the R5 but was put off by the build and potential for it to spontaneously combust... so the boring fool in me made me get a mk3 golf. the R5T would have been more fun

Had one on loan for about a month. Same colour as the one in the first post.

It wasn't the best example and I prefered the 205GTI I had just sold. It didn't handle as well as the pug.
