Airborne release tommorow!

Notice how all the screenshots are from the demo?

Seems to be their usual "slapped together in 15 minutes routine". The quality of that site has clearly went down over the years, it used to be a good place for reviews but now it just seems like they half ass a lot of things and score games lower just to be the site that has a different opinion (constantly).

another point goes to the pc in the pc v console war...

"It looks best on the PC thanks to higher quality textures." gamespot

360 version does seem to have some weird problems texture wise, in the briefing room the guy off to the far right in both versions has a sort of aura or glow around him but on the 360 version its very pixellated or compressed looking, can see a lot of blocks around him. Same thing when the slow mo effect occurs for the upgrades, 360 version even though the backgrounds blurred looks very compressed or distorted.

Some more fun and games with gamespots review, their comments on the graphics:

Airborne isn't a great-looking game, but it does run well and the visuals don't hamper the experience

Yet oddly enough heres their comments when they had a stage demo at e3 a few months back:

lmao, how can a game go from being one of the best looking at e3 and "beautiful" to "not a great looking game". Such a credible site.

Gamespot has always been full of it, can't really trust the big gaming websites anymore. They are all paid off by somebody.

The aiming was OFF in the demo, this is not new for EA, MOH-Pacific Asault was same, the demo was ok but full games aiming was mile off, I had to play it like that but later patched fixed it (I think)

the aiming is not awefull, maybe you are, and cod2 is at all the major lan events, and is 2nd or 3rd in xfire's most played games, behind WoW, not sure if it is in front of behind css. cod2 has as big a following, if not bigger than cod1, and cod4 will be even bigger still. and how can you say as soon as cod4's out it will be dropped like a disease, your clueless.

and oh look what i see here from the gamespot review about moha, "Weapons can be tough to aim thanks to recoil and poor hit detection" that is where cod simply owns moha.

The aiming gets better as you get the awards for marksman/sharpshooter etc.. (as you'd kinda hope hehe), so I think they left that in there intentionally.

Personally, first time round on the demo I found myself utterly disappointed. NAWW2S (not another WW2 shooter) instantly sprang to mind, and I found the parachute action to be gimicky at best. Not to mention the weird lighting effects on the NPC models in the plane at the start when the explosions go off...

However, second time round (1 8800GTS and a couple of beers later) I found it to be a much more pleasurable experience. Once you jump into a better location and start making use of your squad it plays very smoothly and intuitively - especially when the awards start rolling in. I'm not as excited about this as CoD4 or Crysis (the latter being in a totally different league IMO) but it's certiainly a stocking filler game until the aforementioned 2 beavers pop up on shelves.

Heres why i said what i said about this game. This game is a multiplayer game mainly thats why most will want it.What makes a great online game is ease of use and a good learning curve with simple but effective attack options that work almost flawlessly (which this doesnt)the aiming is awful which in a shooting game defies logic as it is virtually the whole point of a gun based game.Hopefully they do fix it(although by time they do cod 4, crysis ut3 will be out)which will make for a lot of empty servers on medal of honour .
a lot do play cod2 but if you remember when that came out everybody was up in arms due to the bugs and crap, there was even a server shut down by almost all to show what bs the game was.cod2 weapons are less skilled or easier to use (sniper can kill someone with the wind of the bullet, dont get me started on shotguns) a lot vacated the cod scene and play warcraft eve and other big games or like me are just waiting for the next game to show promise.a lot of my friends play in big lans, tournements ,cups, and virtually none of then play cod2 as its just boring. The best ww2 game is uo or cod1 .

MOHAA (multiplayer) was the best WW2 game.. ever, full stop.

I tkae it not many know allied assault originally was sp only and the mp component was added in during the last 6 months of development. It worked decently but id hardly say it was anyhing ground breaking, was very bugged when it came to leaning around corners. Seemed to be if an enemy was showing a tiny fraction of himself more times than not from his point of view he could see fully around the corner and fire at you even through form your pov the gun wasn't visible, literally an inch of enemies could be showing and theyd still have the ability to fire at you.

It was fun but some of the bugs made it very frustrating, id also say it was more overrated being that it came in the wake of saving private ryan and the first decent ww2 game on the pc for a good while.

hehe yeh i know i played for 4 years only stopped recently. We reached top 10 in Europe on clanbase.

Even if it did have 6 months development it was still awesome in my eyes. In some ways the little bugs made the game what it is!

I'm pleased to see Hunt / Remagen / Destroyed Village Return although i would have loved Bridge and V2

I can't wait for MP. Even if it ends up not being that great, it'll still be fun to play the old maps.

Hopefully it won't be long until someone makes a decent remake of Algiers. I loved that map.

I would get it, but the demo didn't support my graphics card, I'm assuming the full version doesn't either but to be honest, I wouldn't want to buy it without playing the demo.
