I'd agree with that.
I think with the playstation brand name you get a lot of the younger generation, although that isn't the case with me as i'm 29, i'm no 'fanboy' either.
I was merely offering a opinion on why he thought it was basic, not one of my own. I'm surprised, I would have imagined sony (wouldn't you too?) to say how superior PS3 was to everything else tbh.
That's pretty much what I was thinking. By not saying something he was clearly stating that it was an inferior console in other departments, stronger in others. It's the first time I've seen such an approach from Sony.
He was mainly focused on PSN and Home though.

.Surely the Wii fanboys should be the worst then going by the perceived age range. I think it's because it was "cool" to own a PS2 and the type of people who buy consoles because of image are generally asshats anyway and will be the most offensive defender of their system.
Yeah your probably right there, I was one of the 'un-cool' opted for a Saturn rather than a PSOne and a Dreamcast rather than a PS2.

I was also "uncool" with my Saturn, N64 and Dreamcast, but that actually made me cool as I wasn't stupid enough to buy a console based on image
I've got all 3 current gen consoles now because the quality of games on all 3 (well... games due out within 6 months on the PS3) are brilliant.
I have a mate that is a 360 fanboy,he was slating the PS3 and I was telling him it isn't that bad really,lacking some games.He started calling me a fanboy and how I bum PS3 and hate xbox 360.He went on for 5minutes then I told him I didn't have a PS3,I have a 360. Was funny seeing his reactions.
I don't understand the fanboys really,if I had the money I would buy both PS3 and 360,both has its good and bad points.I don't need to be told how the PS3 has no games at all and no achievements nor do I want to be told that 360 has DVD9,no blu-ray,wifi.

Expressing your opinion of 'silly public' for buying Wii is also silly.
Yeah, the people blinded by Sony's rants about the CELL, 4D and Blu-Ray are by far the worst.
Sony don't help though, they talk such **** and are the most arrogant of the big three current console companies.
