Smoking kills your hardware badly!

Lungs you can ignore...damaging your computers inside, now thats terrible ! :p
Seriously though, thats horrible, i love these posts that convince me to never try smoking.
 
Must admit since i gave up a few months back my PC has not gathered the amount of dust it use to.
 
Someone is having a laugh.

In any normal environment even if you never vacuum in 6 months you would not accumulate that amount of dust.

It doesn't matter how much you smoke the impact could never be that extreme over that period.

Unfortunately I speak from considerable experience on both counts.

If your intention was to build up dust you would have to take extreme measures to deliberately achieve that build up.

You sure his mouse didnt come alive at night and take a dump on his HSF to get back for the endless nights of throwing it around :D
 
I have seen a PC or 2 like that, in a house that looks clean but had smokers and the daughters room was a pigsty (her PC), it was like the stuff you get inside a hoover bag as soon as I opened the case, it was everywhere inc inside PSU.

She did not learn her lesson and a year or so later it was same and burned out,

She got a new PC built by myself inc filters, she does not clean them and even then some gets by, so again waste of time as she did not learn.
 
WOW that's shocking, if its true for it to get that bad in 6 months.:eek:

I'v gotta give up smoking soon :(

That is quite an effective add to stop smoking

I'd have to agree, i smoke around my PC more than anyone should, have a pretty dusty enviroment, and its got bad at points but after 6months not that bad.. maybe its becuase where i sit and where my ash tray is all in relation to my computer but i dont believe that tbh
 
I've had the same PC for over two years now and being a smoker I do notice nicotine on the monitor but it takes a while to build up and it's never bad, easy to clean.

As the PC is in my bedroom, the inside smells of deodorant more than anything else!
 
I hate doing smokers computers because I've seen that scene many times and the worst one is my fathers.
The other week he took a guitar to be setup at a mates house and my mate said he spent hours cleaning all the tobacco off it.
