I got out of bed somewhat late, and read online that top gear were filming at RAF coningsby today.

I missed the first and second runs of the veyron, but got there for the third run of Veyron Vs Plane:

220 miles in tota + 110 pics, Those are the best reallyl. would have made it for the second run had it not been for wagons and tractors holding me up! But today, ive seen a veyron giving it full beans down a runway!!

I hope it was only at Coningsby for the test against the Typhoon.

How annoying would it be if they got it again and didn't take it round the track at Dunsfold Aerodrome.

I also got some photos of the shoot It is only a short distance from work. They started around 10.00am firstly doing some photo work and blasts down the runway (which is one of the longest in the country (around 2 miles or so). Then the runs with the Typhoon started around 1.00pm again at 3.00pm and finally at 4.30pm. That car is absolutely amazing:cool:
Here are the pics:-

I reckon its gona be tough for it to beat the Koenigsegg round the track if they do send it round. Both cars are fairly evenly matched.

But a Koenigsegg CCXR would whip the CCX and the Veyron :D

Gorgeous, although i guess impractical around the track. I hope they manage to get an owners around the track, nobody expects it to be top of the board, but top 5 hopefully. It's a great straight line stock car, but no-one had ever said its a track car...

I am hoping they do what they did to get the Enzo round the track, get a owner to give them it for PR.

The whole PR thing with Nick Mason and the Enzo was a joke. He doesn't care about PR, he's rich and famous enough already. He has a huge stable of cars and happily loans them out for testing. A lot of the times you see an F40, it'll be his (reg F40 NPG)

Whatever the reason there must be someone with an Veyron willing to lend his/her car, I would lend mine but unfortunately there is a Focus 1.6 Wagon in front of my house and not a Veyron :p

It certainly would be interesting as when Evo tested it against the Enzo down a tight country road in France they were stunned that the Enzo simply couldn't keep up even in the corners and under braking.
