I thought the demo played quite well.
The problem i had was the really low textures for the ground areas, it was almost like Google Earth.
 
Yeah that's exactly what i thought mate, about google earth, but its good enough for abit of air battle :p its out 14th of December apparently
 
i love squadron leader, that game was fantastic. a definate 5 stars from me. i just hope this one isn't gonna be a let down or anything. the story in squadron leader also actually made sense for once. the best part was when your co-pilot got hit, and couldn't eject on the stadium fly by mission..and just peacefully flew the plane and crashed it into the middle of the stadium. (i think)

I seem to be able to whizz through Ace Combat games. In my opinion they are simply too easy. Get behind your opponent, then give them the ol' 2 missile punch. From what I've played of the AC6 demo, they've slowed the missiles down a tad.

is this 360 only?

killing isnt ac's trouble, its the odd mission which has a tight timer or other circumstance beyond your control. 'the fortress' for instance has you covering allied tanks hell bent on suicide.

true, on the hardest settings its a bit difficult. i remember that mission. i hate the missions where you have to protect something like tanks or some ground target. they infuriate me :mad:

i wonder if there will be many "new" planes in this AC. i love collecting em all :p
 
amazing graphics, if your into flight combat go for it... but if you an all round gamer its same old ACE COMBAT and try PS2 version before you buy.... IMHO

Wow :)

What a flight combat game, graphics are truly next gen amazing, if your into flight combat games go out and get this one, online play, good story mode, im stuck now what to play as I have guitar hero 3 and this sitting infront of me :)
 
so far....

Good points:

Outstanding in-game graphics
Good game

Bad points

To easy (on normal)
Irritating midi music (if you turn it off you get no sound in cutscenes tho)
Ugly but functional menu system
Tricky to get into multiplayer lobby without it saying "game already started" at which point you have to keep pressing search for a new game.

By the way, the good points still out weigh the bad points :)

Also im astonished by the "Google Earth" comments, im not sure what your expecting. I think they have done a great job covering the equivelant of several square miles of terrain with a decent texture(s).

was it an import?, you do know proof of purchase is required, even more so on games not out in the Uk yet before you can discuss them otherwise people think you pirated the game
