that was to get them to run punkbuster as it wasnt in the original release, and pb has been added and bugs have been fixed with patches.

thats because snipers are powerfull, and look at the AWP on css. cod2 snipers do what they were designed to do, take someone down from a long way, and guess what that means, it means its a powerfull gun.

and shotguns are devastating close range yes, because thats what they are designed to be, but step back and use a gun from normal range and a shotgunner is useless against you. i use a rifle, and unless im in open ground or in smoke, chances are i'll take out the shotty.

and oh yea no-one plays it anymore, its just the no.1 most played online fps on xfire.

I used to be pretty killer with the sniper and/or rifle. I haven't played in ages but I recently went on a good rifle only server and got schooled for the first hour until I got the hang of having to aim so quickly again.

Machine gunners are always quick to hate on rifle/sniper users for what they think is a 'lack of talent' but I think it takes a lot more talent to run around with a sniper or rifle (and not camp) than it does to do the same thing with an SMG.
 
well for those who actually no me :D im a rifle man thats y i dont play cod 2 cause its just too easy.i used to run rifles only servers 100+ every games 100 for 10 ratio regularly(records galore) best killstreak 52-1 :p got the t shirt pls dont tell me about cod as ive probably played it more than activision.you wont accept my opinion .ask the clanbase top players cup players which is better cod uo or cod 2 .
snipers are meant to be powerful but not that you can kill with a none fatal shot.in uo if you dont get a precise shot they dont die like you shouldnt.also rifling is a lot more skilled in uo.
As for machine gunning whores :D:D lets take the mp44 on cod2 its that powerful easy to shoot you can shoot someone from other side of map like a sniper.most of the cod 2 players now are kids 10-14 let em on uo they get owned.

so youve played it for a month you said before so clearly dont get 100 - 10 regularly on rifle only servers and havnt been there and got the T-shirt, and 52 - 1, care to get a screenshot of that? because you would screenshot it tbh.

the way it see it, youve played it for the first month, put all of the first impressions of a lot of people on the game into your head and then thats it, well if you play it now its a lot different, mp44 isnt that powerfull and is no where near being able to snipe people. and i agree there is a lot of kids that play the game, but your impressions of the game are wrong. and it is a skilled game, and the multiplayer cod2 is and will be better than moha multiplayer.
 
Just downloaded the demo and played it, nice to see a demo that offers more than 5 minutes game play unlike the Bioshock demo.

Overall I am impressed by the visuals and performance of this game and I will be getting it for sure.

Tell us what the MP is like when you getting going...

Ordered mine from the place in the Brazilian rainforest still sitting there waiting stock :mad: cancelled and told em to put it where the dont shine.
 
Got mine today.

Just played multiplayer.

Very few servers, about two were up when I played.

MP not bad, could be good if they sort out the controls. The sprinting is terrible.

It has potential as an MP game, not tried SP yet.

Any questions? lol

Just had another go, not sure how to show FPS, I've tried FPS 1 in console, doesn't seem to work in MP.

Anyway, it seems to get better the more you play it.

However, Max of 12 players is far too low. As soon as we can 32+ servers then we are in for some fun! :p

Also without VOIP built-in, the game feels inpersonal but this might change.

EA just need to sort out the controls.
