DX38BT Product Highlights:
Based on the next-generation X38 Express chipset (MCH)
Intel Duo/Quad/Extreme (dual and quad) Core support at up to 1333MHz FSB, dual channel DDR2/DDR3 memory support with Fast Memory Access technology
Intel ICH9 southbridge, 12 USB ports, supporting up to 6 additional PCI Express 1.1(a) lanes [physics card upgrade support], GBit LAN
2x PCI Express 2.0 16x ports (backwards compatible with PCI Express 1.1 specification), Crossfire is supported
6x SATA 3.0GB/s ports, Intel Maxtrix Storage Technology (RAID)
Intel High Definition (HD) Technology
Full overclocking/overvoltage options via BIOS and NEW Windows GUI utility for overclocking, including auto-tune capabilities

rumored to be released on the 31st of September.

Still dont see the point in putting DDR2 + DDR3 on the motherboard.

Edit - Looking at that pic it only seems to have 4 Memory Dimms, so uts not DDR2 + DDR3?

Other than that, it should turn out to be a good, solid board like their Bad Axe 2.

Imagine it means that both are supported, and that there will be 2 different version of the board availible.

Gotta say its a nice looking board visually. Nice layout, nice colours, no heatpipes, just big heatsinks.
Shame that no doubt most manufactures will change most of that apart from the layout :p

I do like the fact that they have added a slot soley for a Physic card.

Anyone think Intel may start pushing these cards?

FINALLY dumped those floppy's :d.
This whole pci-e 2 is rubbish imo, why not 1.1 so its comaptible with everything?
Aside that, nice board, no unneeded stuff like heatpipes.

It's no different really than what Asrock did with DDR and DDR2. Just helps people upgrade a bit at a time.

Nice black pcb and watercooling friendly heatsinks. You can easily remove the NB if you need to and WC it. None of this stupid heatpipe rubbish.

Slightly diffrent though.

When DDR was about, not many people thought about 4GB.

Now though DDR2, people are getting 4GB and will most likely become the norm before DDR3 comes into play.

So thats why them DDR2+DDR3 boards are pointless becuase by the time DDR3 becomes warrant enough to buy you more than likely gong to have 4GB of DDR2 and are you really going to change 4GB of DDR2 Memory for 2GB of DDR3?

I like how the IDE port has been moved, you can put in full length video cards which won't interfere with anything on the board now.

Can't see why you would only use an Intel motherboard only :confused:they're good motherboards but not they're not anything special.
