I am planning on putting my Pioneer head unit into my focus, i already have the cable from my previous car, i no i need a facia adapter, but what i wanted to know was what items i will need to install new speakers, and i have a focus factory fitted remote on the steering colomn will it be possible to get this to work with my head unit and if so what items will i need to complete it.

Many thanks

you can buy the adapters for the mondeo (which fit the focus perfect) and allow you to use 16.5cm speakers.

these may also come in useful to save you having to cut the origional speaker wiring-

If you wish to retain the use of your stalk adapter you need 2 parts, a vehicle specific part which is this -

and a radio specific part which obviously depends what make you buy...but in your case here is a link to the pioneer end -

as for the fascia...i hate them horrible blanking plates they sell for the focus in halfords so i chose to buy one of these, this guy sells loads so if it sells just look at his other items...he always has plenty listed.

I got one of them, it's quality.

Also you'll want or need a wiring loom adaptor and an aerial adaptor. Plus having the right set of keys to remove the ford radio is a bonus.

wont need a wiring loom adapter if using steering control adapter as that contains a ford > iso wiring converter.

Many thanks for all of your help, i have managed to get the headunit in now, and i tried working the steering controls but my pio headunit is too old apparently, it has a 2.5mm jack instead of 3.5 but the audio is so much better quality which is what i wanted over the steering controls, just need to get the speakers sorted now.

Cheers
