Home For PS3 - 11th October 2007
And other PSN release dates

Finally, the motherload. This is a release list for the rest of the year - all the great stuff coming to the PlayStation Network, and there's some absolute crackers in the line-up, the star being Home, which is scheduled provisionally for the 11th of October.

The full list is below:

4th October - SnakeBall and Pixel Junk Racers
11th October - Home
18th October - High Velocity Bowling
25th of October - Aqua Vita, Operation C.F, Trials of Topoq and Eye Create
8th of November - Tori Emaki
15th of November - Mesmerize
6th of December - Sky Diving and Elefunk
13th of December - Pain
20th of December - Dark Mist

No date yet for Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, but it's definitely before December. Note that these are European dates, and that the date for Home is 'provisional'. These are apparently official dates sent to the European press but are subject to change - so please don't blame us if they turn out wrong!

For anyone questioning the source, this is via an anonymous email - we will apologise wholeheartedly if we're wrong on this.

Update: we're right, phew. Original post is correct, confirmed via a list from SCEE. Here's PS3 release dates, too:

17th October - Folklore
19th October - Lair
24th October - Eye of Judgment (PSN games above tie in with this date)
7th November - Ratchet and Clank: Operation Destruction (European title)
28th November - Time Crisis 4
5th December - Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune

Quite looking forward to Home just to see what they make of it but the wife will love that and the new Eyetoy games.

Ermmmm, what is Home, just got my ps3 a couple of weeks ago , been playing ff12 on it so havent heard anything about it.

A massive world built into the PlayStation Network, Home is Sony Computer Entertainment's virtual world for PlayStation gamers. With an avatar uniquely customized according to each user's preference, users can explore the 3D community that is Home -- a sleek, modern environment featuring spacious common areas, custom spaces dedicated to specific games, and personal apartments. Everything can be customized to your liking with items you collect or purchase.

Not only is Home your home online with PlayStation 3, Home is also a vast network of communication for PlayStation users. Browse the Hall of Fame for trophies players have collected in various videogames, or just hang out in a virtual outdoor lobby to talk with text and voice. Other features in Home include a theater where the Home world also users can watch videos from one users' collection together, a series of mini-games that players can play, and much more as Home evolves.

From that description then its going to be quite severly admined, just like almost all chat rooms now adays as i reckon quite a few kiddies have ps3s so it opens up a new area for those sick individuals.

Does that mean if MiccyP gets a PS3 we can't call him a giant phallus? :(

I dont know why, as it isnt anything that special, but I'm so excited about Home, really looking forward to it

Me too, been looking forward to home since I first heard about it when I got my PS3 in April. The trailers on the PSN look interesting too.
I'm guessing you'll be able to use headsets and voice chat with mates?
We could set up a OCUK hut, and chat, and start our multiplayer games from there! ;)

Hoping the voice chat does work, and even video chat through home, would be handy for me chatting with friends/family in different countries.

V1N.

No idea about the video chat but voice chat works fine if you're standing next to each other.
