hey all, my PC just turned itself off in the middle of a game...
any ideas as to what it could be?

Bad IHS contact.
IHS onto cores? i've put the cooler onto the CPU twice now and it looked a good seal both times when i took it off.
shutting straight down is normally a psu issue. you'd normally get some sort of warning if it was a temperature issue. like a sodding loud chirping from the onboard buzzer. well, if it ha one lol

Cant see a buzzer, just a small metal cylinder with smoke coming out of it![]()

hmmm what about the PWM temp? whats that? i only ask as its a lot higher now than when i had my Opty in. used to run at 50C loaded but now its 57-60C+.![]()
oh, no buzzer noise and i have the onboard speaker working.
no warning... just shut straight down.
