Death Sentance

Went to the cinema last night to see this film with the Mrs. Didnt hear much hype or see many ratings for the film so i didnt know what to expect when i walked in there. The only thing i did expect was a violent and possibly graphic film.

When i walked out of the cinema 2 hour later i was gobsmacked. The film was brilliant, and sent my girlfriend on an emotional rollercoaster, the film has some very powerful scenes and an awesome story line. I found myself on the edge of my seat for every second !

Giving it a 10/10 i loved it !

Anyone else seen it yet ?

Sounds somewhat similiar to Man On Fire and I really enjoyed that. Looking forward to this!

Probably the worst film ive seen this year. Ok its not (that was Epic Movie) but in its genre it probably was.

Agreed - seen better plots and acting from a kindergarden nativity play - wish they had been more menacing or gory considering the 18 certificate...

It actually annoys me that I watched this

Ditto. It reminded me a bit of A History of Violence, except that was a lot better

According to the latest Kermode podcast, Death Sentence is the movie version of the sequel to the original Death Wish novel.

If you have any idea what kind of films the Death Wish series are then you should know what to expect from Death Sentence.

The trailer had us expecting this to be ok, and we were going to check it out last weekend.

I did a bit of checking online before the evening and saw that the majority of people who'd seen this thought it was abysmal, didn't bother after that.

One of the worst films ive ever seen. So cheesy and unrealistic i could barely watch it sometimes. Luckily i watched the new harry potter film before this so my night wasn't ruined that much

Did anyone notice the overuse of generic "sad emotional" music at various points of the film? I don't normally notice that sort of thing but they seemed to do it so much I couldn't help but notice!
