Hi,
I need to update my aging graphics card to something newer BUT I need something virtually silent, no jet fighters reving up to take off!
I currently have a ATI radion GT800 which is as quiet as ya like! But a bit old.

Any advice greatfully received!
cheers,
Ade

The 8800s have a heatsink and fan, but they are super quiet.

If you're looking for a completely passive card then your options will be very limited now.

Possibly put an HR-03 on it? Would it be sufficient?

If not then you could put one on an X1950 Pro.

They're fantastic coolers, and can be run passive i.e NO noise at all. :D

Excuse my dumbness but if I get a HR-03, what sort of fan goes with it ?
I know a 90cm fan but is it just a standard one or a specific to a graphic card fan ?
I'm actually thinking of going for an ATI x1950 Pro 512 with an HR-03 and a fan, total cost would be £130.... and hopefully should be lovely and quiet.
