i have to say i really like the new design of logitech's new g15, i've heard it's due this month, is there an exact date and will ocuk be stocking it?

i just got an rma replace for my old g15 so might not break the seal on it and sell it for the new one :rolleyes:
 
if its the same one i have seen then i dont like it. the one i seen the colours are too loud, theres no cover on the LCD incase you dont want to use it and the lack of G keys wouldnt suit my needs :)

Just seen a picture of it on Google images, and it's odd.

The left shift key has been extended, and because of it they've moved the \ key. The return/enter key has been split in two, and the top half is now the \ key.

The movement of the \ key alone puts me right off this keyboard.

na i don't know why they do that, they have that picture on the box of my old g15 and it's not like that.

the only thing i don't like is that orange backlight
 
I don't like what they have donewith the 'game' keys. Having them all over the left was great for MMO's. Not good really, becuase i actually think it looks nicer.
 
i play mainly fps' so i never used all the G keys, could never configure them right tbh, it was all about the lcd screen for me. could you change the colour of the back lights (are they just leds lighting them up?

I have the middle 6 bound to Teamspeak Shortcuts. (+10%, -10%, mute mic, mute speakers, vol @ 10%, vol @ 100%) Very very handy. Dunn0o what to use the other 48 for though . . . :(

just out of curiousity, what lcd mods people got? i got fraps and thats about it, any links aswel would be useful

I quite like that acutally, and i don't think orange will be harsh on the eyes atall.. especially when the screens right in front of you.
 
the lcd looks out of place. i use the G keys a lot. photoshop shortcuts, CS admin/buy scripts. the orange lights can be achieved on the first G15 with a few LED mods.

they should keep the original layout and improve it rather than change the layout and add a new colour.
 
i just got an RMA replacement for my original and i'm debating whether to open it or sell it on brand new and get the new g15 :confused:
