Did this on Monday. Have to say I really enjoyed it, if it was a little expensive for just 10 minutes drive time (£125!!!).
Did the Ferrari vs Evo experience. Ferrari 355 and what I believe was an FQ-300 Evo VIII.
Got there at 8:15 in the morning and handed the paperwork in. At 9:00 I was driven on a demo lap in the Evo. (Got an extra lap as I was the only one in the car and he absolutley caned it!)
Then after some waiting around I finally got my 3 whole laps in the Evo!!
Was trying to listen to what the instructor said about them making the clutches pap on purpose so they break first to save the gearbox. He must have thought I wasn't listening as numerous times he told me to calm down on the gearing. I just wanna go faster!!
So when it was time to push the car and try and set a quick time (they don't time laps tho as it's just an experience) I had to pull back into the pits as my 3 laps were up!
Then it was my go in the Ferrari 355. Loved the noise it made screaming down the straights in 3rd gear (dunno how fast I was going as I was concentrating on driving?) But apart from the noise I felt a little underwhelmed. The car was quite old (1998 R reg) and you could tell it had been driven over the years. I got out of the car at the end and immediatley thought... I much prefer the Evo! Which I have now allocated a new money pot to save up and buy one! (Or an Impreza as i'm told they are the same but more reliable!)
Overall I thought it was very expensive for what I got. You just get used to the car and then it's time over. Next time i'll be paying a bit more to make sure I get more time in the car!
Apologies for the dull write up.. have some pictures!
Ohh and the Lambos were the best sounding car there.. But if I wanted that privilege I'd have to fork up £50 a lap!!!
